W66: Answered Prayers

Image
We had the cambio call this morning and my prayers were answered....I'm staying in Coyhaique with Elder Parronchi for another cambio. Nobody stays 3 transfers in Coyhaique but God it good. The members are great, miracles are happening and we get fed well so life can't get much better. I'm killing Elder Parronchi which means that hes going home at the end of this next cambio. So we're going to work harder than we've ever worked as his farewell gift.....President Bensen said "One of the greatest secrets of missionary work is work!" Let's Go! We had a crazy week with the whole end of the cambio thing. We also had to make sure that we got one of our friends to church because she didn't go to church last week and she needed to get confirmed because the family got sick. So we were lowkey stressed about that but it all worked out. We met someone who believed in something called "Krishna" who is apparently like another God thing that played ...

We went to Pto. Montt AGAIN this week. It's just like a normal thing at this point. Kinda sucked because they didn't feel like upgrading us to first class even though I'm a regular. Because it was his last zone conference the mission was putting together a memory box for him. We were all going to put in a note or something, and it was going to be a surprise. Well me and Elder Parronchi wanted to prin...

We lost a couple of days in the sector last week because we had to go to Pto. Montt for leadership conference. But it was all good. Saw some of the old mission dawgs. We got to do weekly planning in the office with a huge whiteboard and it was awesome. We also had some good lessons with all our people we have on date. We ended up getting back on saturday at like 6:30, had some monster, threw on the work boots and sprinted out the door because we had to go try and get some people to church. The Next day on Sunday we actually got a text from the mom of the girl who was going to get baptized next week saying that her dad didnt give her permission to be baptized. We were like this dad doesn't even live in Chile. So we went over to go talk to her about the situation and the mom explained the dad has no rights because he wouldn't come sign the papers and gives zero support to the kids so pretty much is out of the picture. In the end he's letting them get baptized so that...
