W75: Optional P-Day

Image
Pday just feels kinda optional at this point. Most P-days are spent flying or traveling. Today we are flying to Pto. Montt and we have to leave our house at like 12:30 if we want to make it to our flight at 4. So most of our pday got cooked but it's ok. I'll just buy a pizza or something to feel better. We had a pretty solid week. It was a little unfortunate that we didn't have many people at church. But we'll do better this week. Yesterday night we went to our recent converts house and when we arrived we found that she had a dog in her yard. The thing was that I knew the dog. 2 months ago when it was -15 there was a puppy that followed us home because it wanted food. Then it spent the night outside our house and we named it Moroni. For those you don't know, Moroni is pretty much the man in the book of mormon doing good, standing for God and freedom, pretty much the best leader there is. The next day it followed us around a little bit but then got lost and we ...

W74: My Painted Book of Mormon

https://photos.app.goo.gl/MeSu7s9Vg6jNCaap9 I updated google fotos. Join and I'll try to be better about uploading stuff. Yeah so my bad for last week. I actually wrote up an email I just forgot to send it. We've just been out here grinding. You didn't miss much because I feel like my emails have just been super repetitive for the last 5 months being in the same sector and everything. I've averaged 4.5 months in every sector I've served in. Big changes are coming to Coyhaique which is great. Our Zone is seeing miracles. We had pday today (tuesday) because we had interviews with President Mackay yesterday. He's a pretty cool guy. Even though it was rough not having pday on Monday because we were super tired from the week. It didn't help we had to wake up at 4AM in order to go and fill up the baptismal font because it takes 8 hours to fill but it's worth it! I had an intercambio with Elder Daniels who is a brand new missionary that is just trying to...

W73: Zone Conference & Puerto Montt

Image
August 11, 2025 Scott didn't write a letter this week because Kira needed help with chem so he did that instead. A glimpse of mission life. You spend your time serving others. Here are some things he would have probably written about. 1. His Barber. He loves going to his barber. Maybe it was all the years of Danny cutting his hair or being able to listen to rap but the guy seems like a really cool guy and a highlight of his month is getting his haircut. 2. Puerto Montt. He traveled to Puerto Montt for Zone Conference which he loved since he is so far away from people in Coyhaique. He said conference was awesome. 3. Guitar Songs. He tried thinking about songs he wants to learn on the guitar and realized his brain can't recollect songs. 4. He loves his new President 5. He loves his new companion 6. The winter has been really mild which he is really grateful for. 7. The AP's called him Evangelical which he took as a compliment...lol Hopefully next week, you'l...

W72: Elder Margerger

Image
Mon, Aug 4, 12:34 PM We had cambios last week and now I'm with Elder Marberger. Hes from Salt Lake and he's a cool dude. He had a bunch of ear training for the piano. I'm going to try and have him teach me. But we'll see how far I can get. Yesterday we had the baptism of our friend Sebastian. He is a friend of one of our members and our member ended up baptizing him which was awesome. We almost flooded our house. I was doing a load of laundry and as the washer was draining the drain tube fell out. So instead of the water going down the drain it just went onto the floor. I was just doing some studys taking mate when all of the sudden I saw water on the floor. I thought I had spilled my thermos but then I saw that my thermos was upright and that the washer was leaking through the door. So we had to dry the house for like an hour. The Zone is flying to Pto. Montt right now for zone conference. It'll be fun to see some people because I haven't left Coyhaique in...
