W60: Tsunami?!?

Apparently there was an earthquake in Southern Chile but if you haven't remembered by now while I am in Southern Chile, my mission is still really long. I am far south, but it was like superrr far south. I'm the second farthest area south, but the farthest area is about 800 more miles away from me in Punta Arenas. My mission is huge hence the need to fly all the time. Like the southermost missionarys are probably like 1500 miles away from the northernmost missionarys. The crazy and cool miralce was that Presidente had brought all the missionaries from the Southern Zones to Puerto Montt for Zone Conference so we were all good and parents weren't worried. So none of the missionaries who would have been affected where actually in their sectors. That worked out nicely. We where in Puerto Montt again for Zone conference which means another flight but the good news is that this week we do not have to fly!! We will be in the sector the whole week which is awesome. We can get so much work done. Next week is transfers so we'll see what happens there. When we where in Puerto Montt our whole CCM group was actually together which was all the missionaries that started together from the States. There were way more from South America but me, Elder Cresap, Thomas and Hna Palmer had a mini reunion. Zone conference is the best because you just get to see everybody in the mission. I hit 14 months yesterday and it's lowkey a little crazy. I'm trying to lock in for these last 10 months because it's really not that much time. I'm going to Pto. Aysen today. I'm going to take some photos so I'll send those your way. That is where the Elders in my district live so we switch off having district council there or here every other week. But after that, I will be in my sector. We are seeing lots of great things happen in our area and Zone. It is pretty awesome. This cambio has been a little interesting for me. I've just really focused on being a nicer person. We'll see how long it lasts. But that's where I'm at. Elder Wirthlin said, "The Church is not a place where perfect people gather to say perfect things, or have perfect thoughts, or have perfect feelings. The Church is a place where imperfect people gather to provide encouragement, support, and service to each other as we press on in our journey to return to our Heavenly Father. Each one of us will travel a different road during this life. Each progresses at a different rate. Temptations that trouble your brother may not challenge you at all. Strengths that you possess may seem impossible to another. We are all children of our Heavenly Father. And we are here with the same purpose: to learn to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves." I stil have a ways to go with my kindness but I am working on it. Have a good week! Love, Elder McMillan
