W85: The Return to Entre Lagos

We had transfers last week. Our zone got changed a little bit so we spent most of Tuesday just in the bus terminal waiting for missionaries to arrive and to leave. I am staying another transfer in Osorno with E. Cresap, which we both expected. The other elders in our ward got changed so now we share our ward with Sister missionaries. One is from Ecuador and the other is from Las Vegas. I got to do an exchange last week and I went back to my old sector of Entre Lagos which is a little town outside of Osorno. We saw a ton of miracles. I had worked there for 3 months last year. As we were finishing up the day we went to a inactive member family. Their life had gone way down hill and they where having lots of issues. They remembered me and told me about what was happening. I told them to go back to church and God will start helping them feel more peace and life will just be better. They ended up going to church so that was pretty great. Also went to the house of another lady who I found and brought to church but later told us that she didn't want us to come over more. Turns out 6 months later she got baptized. Pretty cool to realize that seeds are plantedf for later in missionary work. Our haitian friends did not come to church...but it was because we gave them white shirts and they washed them and they where not able to dry in time. But we went over there at night and talked to them and talked with their grandmas who also wants to go to church we are just going to need to find a member to bring them. We invited the kid to get baptized and he accepted the fecha. We're really going to try to find someone who speaks creole so we can teach him in his own language. If anybody has any contacts I would be super grateful. Hymns in Chile... so this is something that I havent really mentioned but I play the piano in sacrament meeting here. Its been a pretty big blessing. Everyone should go learn to play the piano because its pretty awesome. Also recived rabies shot #4... - Elder McMillan

W66: Answered Prayers

We had the cambio call this morning and my prayers were answered....I'm staying in Coyhaique with Elder Parronchi for another cambio. Nobody stays 3 transfers in Coyhaique but God it good. The members are great, miracles are happening and we get fed well so life can't get much better. I'm killing Elder Parronchi which means that hes going home at the end of this next cambio. So we're going to work harder than we've ever worked as his farewell gift.....President Bensen said "One of the greatest secrets of missionary work is work!" Let's Go! We had a crazy week with the whole end of the cambio thing. We also had to make sure that we got one of our friends to church because she didn't go to church last week and she needed to get confirmed because the family got sick. W42: Christmas Cookies

Yo so what's up squad. Honestly this week was like a kinda chopped week because of Christmas. But it actually ended up being a pretty good week.  For Christmas it was like really hot out and probably not the most ideal time to go out to proselyte. Either I have gotten used to the cooler weather or the UV rays down here really make it hotter. Elder Benson and I decided that we where going to try and make cookies for a bunch of members then go deliver them on Christmas. Christmas morning we baked some cookies and it was pretty smooth sailing.  Followed a recipe from my dad and then quickly realized they use the metric system so the measurements were different so we had to eyeball some things but hey it all worked out. We also didn't have a blender so we had to hand mix it all. My forearms were on fire by the end up the baking experience. W39: Christmas Zone Conference

So this week was a little chaotic. I feel like I say that for a lot but this week was actually a week full of sidequests. We had a Multi-Zone Conference planned for Friday. So we spent time working with a companionship of Hermanas to make a presentation for our zone at Zone Conference. But it was also a special Christmas conference so we had to prepare a Christmas skit to do with our zone that we were going to perform at the end of the conference. Anddd we got a text from the Hermanas that we were going to direct the conference and that they wanted the Elders in our zone to do a special musical number... So we just start plugging away, getting our work done and letting the Elders know that we are going to sing Silent Night which they were not excited to sing! Then on Thursday, the day before the conference, we got a call from the Zone Leaders in Valdivia who were supposed to host the conference and they said that there was a dead body in their chapel so we were going to have to mov...
